Through programs designed to meet families where they are, we provide comfort, care and practical support throughout a child’s medical journey. Sometimes that means a welcoming room just steps from the hospital. Other times, it means bringing a little bit of Ronald McDonald House directly to a family at their child’s bedside.
Every program has the same purpose: helping families stay close, cared for and focused on their child.
Our House
Our Ronald McDonald House provides families with a comfortable place to stay while their child receives medical care nearby.
But a stay at the House is about much more than a room. Families find meals, comfortable spaces to rest, everyday necessities and a community of people who understand what it means to have a child in the hospital.
By taking care of some of the practical needs of daily life, we help families spend more of their time and energy where it matters most: with their child.
Not every family we serve is staying at Ronald McDonald House. Our Hospitality Cart allows us to take some of the care and comfort of the House directly into the hospital.
Stocked with snacks, drinks and other thoughtful items, the cart visits families whose children are receiving medical care, offering a moment of relief during what can be a long and difficult day.
It may seem like something small. But when a parent doesn’t want to leave their child’s bedside, a snack, a drink or simply a friendly face can mean a great deal.
The Hospitality Cart is another way we meet families where they are and remind them that they don’t have to navigate their child’s medical journey alone.
Whether we’re welcoming a family through the doors of Ronald McDonald House or bringing comfort to a hospital room, our programs are made possible by a community that believes families should be able to stay close when their child needs them most.
Volunteers, donors, businesses and community partners help make every stay, every meal and every trip of the Hospitality Cart possible.
